Ken Chernavitch

Ken Chernavitch Ken has been a full time potter since 1971. His passion for clay was identified as an art student at the University of Manitoba where he graduated in 1971. He continues to live in Winnipeg where he works from his studio at his home. He is well known for his low-fire hand-build pottery that is decorated in a style uniquely his own. He has a love for painting which is clearly demonstrated in his painterly approach to these earlier pieces. Recently he has begun working almost exclusively on a potter’s wheel using stoneware. His work has been exhibited in national and international juried shows from Hong Kong to Italy, and is collected by private, public and corporate collectors, both nationally and internationally.
